Sony mobiles has finally announced the Sony Xperia E1 in India. The device was in the news recently with some initial specifications of it leaking. Famed as the successor of the popular Sony Xperia E, the Xperia E1 features 4 inch display with 800×480 pixels resolution. It runs on 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8210 processor, and 512MB RAM. The screen of the device has 233 dpi, which is slightly better than its predecessors.

Commenting on it’s launch in the market, Director of Sony Xperia Marketing, Calum MacDogall said

Xperia E1 combines the best of Sony’s audio technologies with a premium design and great hardware to create a smartphone for people who want to express themselves out loud. It’s a new, music focused player in our Xperia line-up that is underpinned by the best of Sony’s design, display and content offers

The Sony Xperia E1 comes in two variants namely the Xperia E1 dual, and the Xperia E1. As the name suggests, the dual variant of the device supports dual SIM with GSM SIM.

Hailed as it’s mid-budget device, Sony claims that the Xperia E1 can produce up to 100 dB music through its speakers. Although the official pricing of the device is still not available, a spokesman from Sony has commented that the device may go available in the Indian market in February this year.
