Karbonn mobiles launched the Karbonn A12+ earlier this year. The device runs on MediaTek dual-core processor, and 512MB RAM, which makes it one of the best devices under Rs. 5000 in India. With good RAM and its compatibility to transfer apps to SD card by default, there is not much need to root the device. But if you want to play around with your device, or delete some Karbonn apps, then rooting the device is a good thing to go do.

Disclaimer : Rooting voids your device’s warranty. All the instructions given here are accurate. But if you end up bricking your device, we are not responsible, but we’ll do our best to help you to un-unbrick it.

Prerequisite Stuff

Rooting your Karbonn A12+

  • First of all, on your mobile, go to Settings, Developer Options, and check USB Debugging.
  • Install the ADB drivers so that your PC can recognise your A12+.
  • Now, install the SRS One Click Root application on your laptop or your PC.
  • Connect your Karbonn A12+ to your laptop or PC using your USB cable.
  • On the SRS One Click app, select Root Device (SmartRoot). The A12+ runs on dual-core MediaTek processor that requires smart root in the app.
  • After a few moments, your phone will ask if you want to accept the app from SRS Root app. Accept the file, and select Install.
  • Now on your device, it will ask you to chose the require option, select Install SuperSU, which is Super User, and then click on Bormir.
  • Success ! Just reboot your device and you have a rooted Karbonn A12+. Go on flaunt it like anything.

Unrooting the Karbonn A12+

  • The unrooting method is much more simpler than the rooting one.
  • Connect your Karbonn A12+ to your PC or laptop, and open SRS One Click app on your PC.
  • Now in the app, click unroot device.
  • Wait for the process to complete, and just wait as your device reboots.
  • All done, you have unrooted your device.

If you had any problem in the process, however silly it may be, fell free to ask it in the comments section below.
