One of the most anticipated titles of 2013, Watch Dogs was delayed till Spring 2014 to the dismay of millions of fans, and once again the launch of the game has been delayed, but this time only the Wii U. As per the official press release from Ubisoft, the makers of Watch Dogs, the decision has been taken with the fact in mind that Wii U has lesser users than other platforms like PC, and PlayStation, and thus this delay would affect less number of people.

While announcing this delay, Ubisoft revealed that

We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U, to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.

The statement clearly mentions that “to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft“, which indicates that Ubisoft has again encountered problems in the development of the game, and to focus on the famous gaming consoles like the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

As per the Ubisoft team, the delay will only affect the Wii U users and the game will be released as per the schedule for other platforms.
