Opera 18 brings Tablet support on Android Brahmnoor Singh November 20, 2013 App 2 Comments Opera has updated its Android browser to Opera 18, which brings a new UI, and also makes it compatible on tablets, and devices with display larger than 7 inch. The new update also brings some improvements in the normal UI for mobile devices. Along with these features, it also has the Off-Road mode that compresses website images and text for faster mobile browsing. As per Johan Schon of Opera Software, We poured a great deal of thought into the Opera for Android tablet version. The size of devices and mindset of users make the tablet very different from its smaller cousin, the smartphone, and we have to respect that. In Opera 18 for Android, we have spent hours and hours tweaking, and fiddling with the placement of, even the most minute detail, just to get that top tablet feel. The new Opera 18 is based completely on Chromium 31, and also has remote debugging feature. You can get it for free from Google Play. 2 Responses Viresh November 20th, 2013 Opera is cool, the low bandwidth mode is nice. Reply Shain November 20th, 2013 Nice update. But IMHO no one uses Opera, Chrome is better. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.CommentName Email Website Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
